Georgia Spear, MD

Georgia Giakoumis Spear, MD, is Chief of the Department of Breast Imaging at NorthShore University HealthSystem and previously Director of the Clinical Breast MRI Program. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Spear serves on the Breast Program Leadership Board at NorthShore. She has a special interest in breast imaging research. She has been interviewed on multiple local news programs, including WGN and FOX, on recent advances in breast imaging. Dr. Spear is a board-certified radiologist, residency and fellowship trained at Northwestern University/Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She earned her MD from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and was inducted in Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University.
