Dr. Danial Jilani was born in Chicago, IL before spending the majority of his childhood in Dayton, OH where he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Dayton and medical degree at the Boonshoft School of Medicine. He made his way back to Chicago for his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Chicago Medicine. He subsequently completed his vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at Northwestern University. During his time at the University of Chicago, Dr. Jilani was awarded several honors including the Chien-Tai Lu Award for Outstanding Clinical Work in VIR as a first-year resident. He has several research accolades including the RSNA Resident and Fellow Research Award. Dr. Jilani has a broad research portfolio including 17 research works with 58 citations. His work includes a book chapter in Biliary Tract Interventions in Shackelford’s Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, Eighth Edition. Dr. Jilani has been a member of several professional society memberships and served on several committees. He has a Master in Public Health with a focus in health policy and socioeconomic health disparities. He has a keen interest in interventional oncology and special focus in radioembolization. His other interests include venous disease and interventional pain (e.g., varicose vein treatment and image-guided steroid injections).
