Dr. Olga Pasternak-Wise is a radiologist in Morton Grove, Illinois. She has been in practice between 6-10 years. In addition to my love of neuroradiology, my academic interests focus on optimizing resident education. My research interests focus on neurologic trauma, specifically dealing with penetrating brain injury. I am working with an increadible team as principle investigator to study and develop machine learning aided imaging analysis of penetrating brain injury in civilians. I am also hoping to optimize teaching models for resident training to provide adequate image-guided lumbar puncture procedures using simulated patients.

A picture is worth 1000 words," but we must master a huge body of knowledge
to see beyond the image. Our job is to formulate diagnoses, communicate effectively, guide management and remain fully engaged in patient care, while balancing the hospital revenue goals with appropriateness criteria. Most radiologists also teach and try to inspire others, whether in private practice or in an academic setting. Radiology isn't a job, it's a challenging and fun profession - a truly intellectually stimulating one.
