Anugayathri Jawahar, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Abdominal imaging division of the Radiology department at Northwestern University-Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago. She completed her medical school and radiology training in India before relocating to the USA. She did her radiology residency at Loyola University, Chicago, and Body MRI fellowship at Stanford University, California. She started as an assistant professor at Loyola University and later moved to Northwestern University, Chicago. She is passionate about teaching and is actively involved in medical students, residents, and fellow education. She was the recipient of the "Dr. Demos outstanding educator award” during her short tenure as faculty at Loyola University.
She is actively involved in clinical research projects, authored multiple peer-reviewed articles, and has won multiple awards and scholarships at regional, national, and international society meetings, including the RSNA Roentgen resident/fellow research award in 2019. Outside work, she loves spending quality time with her two kids and one big fur baby and revamping her guitar skills. Her favorite quote is Paulo Coelho’s ‘When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it’.
